Von Metallica bis boygenius: Das sind die Gewinner und Gewinnerinnen der Grammys 2024
Die Grammy Awards 2024 wurden vor allem für Phoebe Bridgers zum wahren Award-Festspiel. Gleich vier Trophäen bekam die US-amerikanische Künstlerin am 4. Februar 2024 in Los Angeles überreicht – drei davon nahm sie mit ihrer Band boygenius entgegen, einen Grammy gab es zusätzlich für ihren Gastbeitrag zum SZA-Song Ghost in the Machine.

Taylor Swift ging mit zwei Grammys nach Hause: Ihr Album Midnights gewann sowohl „Album of the year“ als auch „Best Pop Vocal Album“. „Taytay“ ist somit die erste Person, die viermal mit dem Grammy für das beste Album ausgezeichnet wurde – ein weiterer Rekord für den Pop-Superstar. Swift kündigte bei ihrer Laudatio ein neues Album namens The Tortured Poets Department an, das am 19. April 2024 erscheinen soll.
Zu den weiteren Gewinner*innen des Abends gehörten SZA, Killer Mike, Victoria Monét und der Barbie-Soundtrack (jeweils drei Grammys). Ebenfalls mehrfach vertreten: Billie Eilish und Miley Cyrus, die genau wie Swift zwei Grammys überreicht bekamen.
Grammys 2024: Metallica ebenfalls ausgezeichnet
Schauen wir mal rüber in die Rock-Sparte: Paramore gewannen mit This Is Why den Grammy für das beste Rockalbum, boygenius mit Not Strong Enough sowohl die Trophäe für den besten Rocksong sowie jene für die beste Performance. Auch James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett und Robert Trujillo durften sich freuen: Metallica wurden für 72 Seasons für die beste Metal-Performance ausgezeichnet. Trujillo nahm den Preis entgegen und erklärte, dass seine Bandkollegen nicht da sein konnten, da sie bei ihren Familien seien.
